Mental Health Awareness Month is an opportunity to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind our community that mental health is an important part of overall well-being. Throughout May, our agency joins communities across the country in encouraging open conversations, sharing resources, and promoting positive mental health. Each year, we offer information, tips, and engaging activities designed to connect, educate, and support members of our community.
Wear green on the first Thursday in May to recognize National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day!
September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to strengthen connections, share lifesaving resources, and remind our community that every person matters. Suicide prevention starts with knowing how to recognize when someone may be struggling and having the courage to reach out, listen, and offer support. Throughout the month, our agency provides opportunities to learn, connect, and take action to help create a community where no one has to face a difficult time alone.
September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. Check on your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc, to give them a chance to share if they need help.
988 – The 988 Lifeline is available 24/7/365. Your conversations are free and confidential. Take care of a friend, a loved one, or yourself by calling, texting, or chatting online.
